E-Business Laurier was founded in 2012 by Sidra Khan and Shireen Ali to answer the demand for a technology-oriented club at Wilfrid Laurier University's School of Business & Economics. Following a successful first year, E-Business Laurier, lead by Co-Presidents Hamza Zia and Arjun Dogra decided to actively pursue the local Kitchener / Waterloo tech startup scene, hardware corporations, and volunteer community involvement. With an influx of executives and general members, EBL launched the EXACT PROGRAM, which is now our pro-bono marketing consulting services program aimed at local small businesses.
E-Business Laurier went through a re-branding period starting in November 2013, which focused on re-developing its core message, graphical theme, and social media outlets. The club’s re-branding efforts proved to be a bold testament to the club's original promise of delivering value to the students of Laurier in a stylish and concise way. A new logo and modern flat-design theme designed by Erica Hollingsworth, greater usage of social media to relay value-added content, along with a full website
E-Business Laurier’s 2014-15 executive team has been created with students and clients in mind.
Nic Cicic and Adam Siek are E-Business Laurier's 4th Co-Presidents. Having previously served as the VP of Corporate Relations and VP Internal Marketing, respectively, both will be focused on managing EBL's 5 Core Areas, in addition to furthering the vision of its original co- founders. Their focus this year will be directed towards the growth of EBL.
